- Based on the meaning of Lily of the Valley, “return to happiness,” these characters symbolize cute and friendly images that work to bring happiness to citizens.
- “Hanamyi”(하남이) and “Bangulyi”(방울이) are the characters which personify the Lily of the Valley, which is the official flower of Hanam. They promote Hanam-si both within the city and externally to attract visitors.
- “Hanamyi” (하남이) and “Bangulyi” (방울이) are registered as Korea Open Government License Type 3. You may use the characters freely as long as you disclose the source and do not modify the images.
- Displaying the character emblem has the same effect as disclosing the source.

The first characters of the Hanam city inspired by its official flower, Lily of the Valley and the clothes of the Baekje people in 1997
