About

An environmental infrastructure recreated as a
facility where nature and humans coexist

This is Korea’s pioneering environmental infrastructure, introducing a novel concept that combines an underground waste treatment plant and a sewage treatment plant. It addresses the necessity to revitalize deteriorated existing facilities, encompassing an incineration plant, recycled waste sorting facility, food waste recycling facility, and wastewater relay pump station. Additionally, it caters to the increasing demand for expanded environmental infrastructure, fueled by land development projects like the Misa District Development Project.
Underground, an incineration facility, a recycled waste sorting facility, a food waste recycling and processing facility, and a sewage treatment facility have been installed. On the ground, Hanam Union Park offers various resident-friendly facilities such as an outdoor stage, a children’s swimming pool, a multi-purpose gym, and outdoor sports facilities. Additionally, the Hanam Union Tower (105 m) provides a delightful vantage point to enjoy the beautiful scenery of Hanam, including the Hangang River and Geomdansan Mountain.
