Hanam Arts Center opened on May 11, 2007, with the goal of pursing fun and helpfulness. By Bringing together generations and genres, we have developed audience participation programs that the whole family can enjoy together, as well as creative programs that feature regional characteristics. These initiatives provide opportunities for citizens to enjoy culture and to improve Hanam’s quality of life. We are dedicated to transforming this city into the Culture City Hanam.

Grand Theater (Geomdan Hall)

Grand Theater (Geomdan Hall)

This grand theater, named after Geomdansan Mountain, the symbol and attraction of Hanam, stands as a magnificent representation of Hanam. With a maximum capacity of 911 people (including 10 seats for the disabled), it serves as a comprehensive cultural and arts space, capable of effectively hosting various genres such as musical concerts, plays, operas, ballets, and musicals. The theater features a rotating stage at its center and a movable stage for the orchestra at the front, allowing for three-dimensional and diverse stage productions. Additionally, the theater is equipped with state-of-the-art lighting and sound facilities to accommodate complex performances.

Little Theater (Arang Hall)

It is a little theater named after the legend of Arang from the Baekje era, passed down from olden days. The theater has a maximum capacity of 355 people, including 6 seats for individuals with disabilities, making it suitable for hosting concerts such as chamber music performances and recitals. This multipurpose theater is equipped with lighting and sound facilities as impressive as those found in grand theaters. It serves as an artistic space with no limitations on genres, plays, concerts, and experimental works.

Outdoor Stage (Eoul Madang)

Outdoor Stage (Eoul Madang)

Eoul Madang is an outdoor stage which aims to be a harmonious garden where everyone can gather and relax. The venue can accommodate approximately 200 people for various activities such as street plays, Madangnori(Traditional Korean outdoor participatory performances by the common people), live concerts and more. The performances centered around arts festivals created by citizens, which provide an opportunity for families to enjoy together and transform the space into a recreational and leisure area for both Hanam residents and visitors.

Exhibition Hall

Exhibition Hall

Located on the second floor of the Exhibition Hall, this space of 316.7㎡ and can accommodate around 100 people. Various works of art can be displayed, such as paintings, crafts, and installations. The space is equipped with downlights, moving walls, movable temporary walls, and pedestals, allowing for various setups depending on the purpose of the exhibition.
