Details of the insurance program

  • Contract period Feb. 23, 2024 – Feb. 22, 2025
  • Eligibility All residents who have been officially registered in Hanam (including registered foreign nationals and registered Overseas Koreans)

강조People who newly register in the city during the contract period are automatically insured, while people who de-register (move away) from the city automatically lose their coverage.

  • 3Accidents compensated by Article 5(Liability for Damage Caused by Defects in Public Structures, etc.) of the State Compensation Act
  • 4Medical expenses for injuries and funeral expenses guaranteed by the Industrial Accident Compensation Insurance Act, Public Officials' Accident Compensation Act, and other similar laws are not included.
  • 5Non-covered medical expenses(the expenses incurred in relation to items excluded from those eligible for health care benefits pursuant to Article 41 (4) of the National Health Insurance Act, or items excluded from those eligible for medical benefits pursuant to Article 7 (3) of the Medical Care Assistance Act)
  • 6Medical expenses borne by the National Health Insurance Service
  • 7All medical expenses related to epidemic infectious diseases, such as COVID-19
  • 8Injury or death below age 15
  • 9Death by suicide
  • 10Other details conform to the Terms and Conditions of the insurance

  • 1Post-injury disability compensation is not provided if the injury corresponds to any of the following
    • An injury caused by the collision or contact with a means of transportation (including cargo) in operation when the insurant was not in a vehicle in operation or by the collision, contact, fire, or explosion of these means of transportation
    • An injury caused by a sudden and incidental externally-caused accident while the insurant is riding a means of transportation in operation
    • A sudden and external injury inflicted by a means of transportation to the insurant when the insurant was on a road.
  • 2Damages caused by the following shall be excluded from the accidents defined in (1)
    • Damage occurred during loading and unloading work
    • Damage occurred during incurred while installing, repairing, inspecting, servicing, or cleaning transportation means
  • 3A means of transportation refers to the following items.
    • Trains, electric locomotives, diesel/gasoline trains, cable cars (including aerial cable cars), lifts, elevators, escalators, and monorails
    • Motor vehicles (passenger vehicles, motor vehicles for passengers and freight, freight motor vehicles, special motor vehicles, and motorcycles defined in Article 2 of the Enforcement Rule of the Motor Vehicle Management Act), scooters, bicycles, and motorized bicycles
    • Aircraft, ships (including yachts, motor boats, and boats)
    • Construction machines and agricultural machines (However, they are not considered as a means of transportation while being used as work machines.)

Limits on insurance payment
  • 1The company will not pay insurance claims if any of the following reasons arise:
    • When the insured intentionally harms themselves. However, if the insured harms themselves while unable to make free decisions due to mental or physical impairment, insurance money will be paid.
    • Where the beneficiary of the insurance intentionally harms the insured. However, if the beneficiary is only a partial recipient of the insurance money, payment will be made to other beneficiaries.
    • When the insurance contractor intentionally harms the insured.
    • Pregnancy, childbirth (including cesarean section), and the postpartum period of the insured person. However, if the insurance payment is due to a covered reason, payment will be made.
    • War, foreign intervention, revolution, civil war, rebellion, riot.
  • 2The company will not pay insurance money when a reason for payment arises due to the following:
    • Incidents occurring during loading or unloading work.
    • Incidents occurring during the installation, repair, inspection, maintenance, or cleaning of a motor vehicle.
    • Incidents occurring while construction or agricultural machinery is in use as work machines.

  • 11X-ray, CT, MRI films and reports (must be issued after six months from the date of the accident)
