Declaration of Changes in Place of Residence/Stay

To change their place of residence (address), foreigners must report the change to either the office of Si·Gun·Gu, the office of Eup·Myeon·Dong, or the Immigration Office that has jurisdiction over the new address within 15 days from the date of relocation. (14 days for Overseas Koreans(F-4) with an Overseas Korean Resident Card)

Required documents

Documents to be submitted by the applicant

  • If you are submitting the application in person, you must bring your passport and Foreigner Registration card, and documents that prove your place of stay.
  • When someone is submitting the application on your behalf, the proxy must bring a written power of attorney, the agent’s ID card, and documents that prove legal relations, such as the family register, and documents that prove the place of residence. Note that for applicants under 17 years of age, their parents may submit the applications on their behalf.
  • A document that proves a place of stay To prove your place of stay, you must provide documents such as a lease contract, confirmation letters from your accommodation provider, notification letters for the end of a contract, and receipts for utility fee and dormitory payments.
